Qualifications
• ALA- accredited MLS degree required. Additional subject area master's degree preferred.

Qualifications:

The Board of Trustees of the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury, Bucks County, PA, seeks an experienced, innovative and visionary leader to be our Library Director. Duties will include working with Board on budget development and management, long range planning, technology planning, personnel, and facility maintenance. The Director will oversee the activity of 70 volunteers and two staff members. Collection selection and management is a critical function. The Children’s library and reading programs are held in high regard, and will continue to be an emphasis.

Qualifications: A Masters Degree in Library Science with two to five years of library experience is preferred. However, a combination of education and experience (non-profit or for profit) that provides the knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job will be seriously considered.

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with proven written and oral and interpersonal skills. This person will understand the value of networking, community outreach, and dedication to the library’s mission of fostering lifelong learning.

Compensation and benefits: Starting salary range is $40,000 to $45,000, depending on experience and education. A benefits package is included.
