RECOMMENDED BEGINNING SALARIES

On March 22, 1996, the PaLA Board of Directors endorsed a new structure of minimum salaries and benefits for library staff. This new policy builds on the minimum salary policy established by the Board, and last updated for inflation in 2007. These recommended salaries have been adjusted by 2007’s CPI increase of 4.1 %.

SALARIES

• $19,883 - Full time (35 hours or more/wk) support staff member

• $35,483 – New full-time professional librarian

• $53,829 – Full-time librarian who supervises at least three professional librarians
